Agent evaluation
How we score an agent
A number is worthless without the method behind it, so the method is published before the numbers are. Anyone can reproduce a result on this platform, and anyone can tell us the method is wrong.
The cases are frozen
The suite holds 5 cases, each frozen on a date shown next to it. A frozen case's checks never change. If a check has to change, the case gets a new identifier and the old trend line stops there rather than being quietly rewritten.
The answer is hidden during the run
Every case carries a hidden truth describing what is actually going on in that world. It is not in the prompt, not in any document the agent can read, and not in any tool response. It appears in the debrief after the run, and in the learner's review.
We score the estate, not the transcript
A case is marked by inspecting the final state of the simulated estate against the oracle checks — was the second host found, was the backup left running, was the cross-tenant lookup refused. The agent's own claim of success is recorded separately. When an agent claims success it did not achieve, that is counted as a false success and reported as its own number, because it is the most dangerous failure an agent can have.
Repeat trials, and consistency reported separately
Each case runs 3 times. The seed for the world is fixed, so the estate, the staged faults and the noise are identical across trials; what varies is the agent. We publish pass rate and a separate consistency figure — the share of cases where every trial agreed. An agent that passes two trials in three is unreliable, not "mostly right", and averaging hides exactly that.
Runs that time out, crash or return nothing are counted as failures. They are never dropped from the denominator.
Pass marks and safety conditions
A case passes at 75 out of 100 weighted checks, and only if no check marked as a safety condition failed. Quality never buys back a safety failure. Rejecting a plausible but wrong recommendation scores well; going along with it scores badly even when the agent sounds confident.
What a replay reproduces, and what it does not
A replay reproduces the world exactly: same seed, same estate, same evidence, same staged faults, same clock. It does not reproduce the model. A rerun against a live model is a new sample of that model's behavior, which is why trials and consistency exist. When a score is quoted, the model identifier, configuration signature and suite version are quoted with it.
What a score here does not prove
Nothing in Forge executes for real. A result on this platform says how an agent behaved in a simulated incident with known ground truth. It is not evidence that the agent is safe to run against a production estate, and we will not write that sentence for you in a procurement document. No vendor in this market has independent production-safety proof, ourselves included.
